Dear Prospective Member:

Thank you for your interest in membership at Twin Oaks Swim & Tennis Club. Perhaps you have visited the club already, which is situated on 33 acres of land and is located at 348 Whippoorwill Road, or have seen the pictures on the marketing materials that capture the beautiful and serene setting in which the club is located. If not, we encourage you to do both.

Twin Oaks was founded in 1978 as a not-for-profit club. There are approximately 250 families as members. The Club is run by a board of volunteers who are all members of the club. The Board continues to meet throughout the year to ensure your summer enjoyment and pleasure at the Club.

Here is what Twin Oaks Swim and Tennis Club has to offer you and/or your family:

SWIMMING

The club has two pools. The “kiddy-pool” is for children age five and under and we are exploring our options for heating the kiddie pool.. The large pool is heated and designed to appeal to all types of swimmers. The shallow end, which is only three feet deep, has a gentle gradation, so that even the youngest and most cautious swimmers will feel comfortable as they learn how to swim. The middle of the pool is dedicated to lap and competitive swimmers. The far end of the pool, which is 13 feet deep, is used primarily by members of our diving team and deep-water swimmers. We also have a swim team that offers children a chance to compete against other clubs throughout Westchester County. We offer both group and private swimming lessons to all ages – it’s never too late to learn and our instructors are some of the best.

TENNIS

We are equally proud of our tennis programs. Over the course of the summer there are 10 scheduled tournaments. Men and women enjoy a full range of singles, doubles and mixed-doubles tournaments. There is also a yearly parent/child tournament. We have eight Har-Tru courts that are beautifully maintained. Our tennis pros are always available to help players of all levels enjoy the game as they learn new skill.

Wednesday is Ladies Day, which means that women of all levels have a chance to play with and meet other women in this round-robin doubles format. The women will also field two teams in the Metropolitan Interclub Tennis League (MITL). The Men will also field a team in the USTA Volvo 4.0 level.

Our Junior Tennis program allows children of all ages to join our Junior Development Program or to participate in our Junior Team and compete against other clubs throughout Westchester County.

EXPANDED CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS

The Club will offer new and expanded children’s activities this summer throughout the day both at the pool and in the playground areas. The activities will be led by our staff. During the weekdays we offer a variety of swim and tennis programs throughout the day. In addition, we plan to offer babysitting services for those who wish to play a game of tennis or take a lesson (tennis, swimming or both). This program will utilize our junior staff and we hope everyone takes advantage of it while you are at our facilities.

THE FACILITY

In addition to our heated pool and tennis courts, Twin Oaks also has:
Men's and women's locker rooms with showers at the pool and tennis courts.
A full service snack bar - Acorn Cafe
Playground with swings and a sand volleyball court
Three large canopied areas to provide shade
Lounge chairs and umbrellas
